Daycare
Each class follows a consistent routine, though times may vary. After morning outdoor play, children always come in to wash hands and enjoy fruit. Daily activities include age-appropriate crafts, music, sensory play, group and reading time, early literacy and numeracy, science, and gross motor sports. At pick-up, teachers will update you on your child’s meals, sleep, drinks, and toileting. Please share any other concerns with us.

We love sparking a passion for reading and literacy. Stories can transport children anywhere, connect them to others, and inspire curiosity. Literacy here is woven into every part of the day through talking, listening, reading, and writing.
The reading component of our Literacy Rich Environment is supported through our connection with Australian Leader’s of Early Literacy Little Miracles Childcare, Our team are mentored and trained in their Teach Your Toddler to Read program. Little Miracles has a 90% success rate in sending children to Kindergarten reading. We will be introducing children to the basics of phonetic literacy in a fun and easy to learn way. We aim for every child to move from our care into formal schooling with established pre-reading skills.
Baby Daily Routines
Working in Partnership with YOU, the expert on your Child, we ensure that the routine your child follows at home, is followed at the centre. This can help your child settle well into care. For example, if your child has a bottle & solids before being rocked to sleep, we follow this routine according to your child’s needs that day. We believe that a child needs security in the rhythm of a routine, whether at home or in care. In our younger rooms, specifically, Educators integrate each child’s routine together to form the room routine that is special to that room, that day and that group of children.
Snacks & Nutrition
We offer the children fruit for morning snack, should your child prefer something else, we welcome families send a clearly labelled lunchbox of food your child can eat at this time. We ask Families to please support us in teaching your child about good Nutrition habits. We teach the children about ‘Everyday Food’ & ‘Sometimes Food’. Therefore we ask that children please do not bring candy/chocolate/lollies to Daycare. Occasionally we will celebrate Birthdays with Cake or other ‘sometimes food’. Children are always offered this after they have eaten their lunch. To respect all families and keep all children safe, children will not share lunchbox food.
Routine Communication
For our Radiant Rainbows & Shining Stars routine communication, like food, toileting & sleep, is vital at this stage of development. This is all conveniently documented on clipboards in your child’s room.
